Garth Announcing San-O Wave Report

I just heard Garth Kemp on ABC7 news announcing wave conditions for San Onofre. He stated "beautiful weather at all beaches today, with 2 to 4 foot waves at San Onofre". This should bring a hoard of wave coolies to Old Man's. I just called Garth and asked him if he would recommend The Point at San Onofre on his next broadcast.

  1. 'Spin', I think you lost it. Compared to Dr.George, Garth ain't Jack, an you know who Jack is. Now, here's the hook. There ain't no so-called, get this, 'Point' at San Onofre.

  2. bleakest, you and I know that but try selling it to Puttzle and Murphy. And yes, Dr. George was king. He was my best friends geography teacher in high school and the students all loved him.

  4. Dr.Spin, I know you know it was Alan Sloan who got bumped by Dr.George way back when, and you know when that was. Yeah, when ABC talent were wearing Circle 7 logo pins. Now, are these characters Puttzle and Murph in the Sufer's Union?

  14. Dr. George was the best. How good would he have been with the weather and swell models they use today? With Surfline and Wetsand he would have gone nuts.

  16. Let me tell you all a story about murphy and dr. dorian paskowitz. I was standing at the counter at scalzo's auto parts store in san clemente with martin scalzo and murphy when in walks dr. paskowitz. Martin scalzo looked up and asked dr. paskowitz if he knew murphy, the dr. looked at martin as if it was a dumb question and say's, of course I know him, he's one of the premier nose riders of our sport. Martin scalzo looked over at murphy and smiled and said, that will be $36.00 for the parts you wanted. True story. Murphy has a tatoo, in fact he has 5 I believe.

  17. I happen to know murhpy is anything but a scab. For over 30yrs. he was a member in good standing with the Communication Workers of America (CWA) affiliated with the AFL-CIO which is an affiliate of the Teamsters union. You better find another scab to pick and make bleed.

  20. Dr. George was good, but Captian Mike Ambrose was the bomb. He did the weather in an old WWI flying ace leather helmet/scull cap.
