As you said; Doheny is the place to be this weekend. I will personally be doing baptisms at Baby Beach. Come all you sinners and rejoice in the love of god and get yourselves and loved ones baptized at 9:00am Sunday.
Tube, I hope that water treatment facility doesn't explode on your fried chicken picnic. Those plants tend to do that during torrential rains. Maybe you should have a Plan B and head up to the Costco for a coupla large pizza pies and wait it out in their parking lot. It should be safe there.
The ground is saturated, toilets will not flush. Dressing rooms flooded, logs floating. Drinking fountains backed up. State to order park closure.
