I first surfed with Jim Irwin at the cove in 1923. The next year we loaded up the boards on Jim's old jalopy and began the 3 day drive to 'Nofre. He looks the same now as he did then. Not bad for 108.
Well, hell's bells, Zacahry, Irwin must be close to 100 years old. Pop Proctor was 99 when he had that paralyzing stroke. In that photo on the log Irwin must of been 98 years. Once you get into your nineties, you've just about had it.
Today, Thursday, at San Onofre surf beach there were 2 near drownings because the lifeguards were busy watching BK drinking instead of scanning the water.
What the heck is a corn log deluxe. Is it edible, what does it taste like. Is it like a corn dog by any chance. Please help me. When I was a youngster I'd go to the State Fair and get me some cotton candy, salt water taffy, and a grape/lime snow cone.

ReplyDeleteI think I met Jim at the Griffith Park Obsevetory. He was sitting there looking at the imitation stars. People were actually laughing at him.
