UNDERWEAR THIEVES RETURN TO SAN ONOFRE

SAN ONOFRE, Ca. (AP) - Robbers who strike while wearing only underwear, their bodies slathered with oil to make them slippery and harder to catch, have resurfaced at San Onofre Surf Beach. Two unidentified, underwear-clad burglars robbed cars and RV's at the southern end of Dogpatch on May 30, Ranger Hal Dairywimple said. Rangers thought they had quashed the "underwear gang" last year, the report said. They apparently wear only underwear in an attempt to make themselves harder to identify. Beach locals had started a community watch program to prevent such crimes, Dairywimple said. But "the underwear thieves resurfaced because the locals stopped," he said.

Apparently they wear the underwear on their heads so as not to be reconized.

MASSIVE EARTHQUAKE HITS SAN ONOFRE

BASILONE ROAD NEAR SURF BEACH

SAN ONOFRE, Calif. - A massive earthquake shook most of Southern California early Sunday, rattling nerves of surfers. There were immediate reports of injuries and damage, authorities said. The magnitude-7.5 quake struck about 8:40 a.m. and was centered exactly under San Onofre , according to a preliminary report by the U.S. Geological Survey. Murphy the Mayor of San Onofre, said the quake lasted six to seven minutes and shook surfers and the nuclear plant.. "Nothing was broken. But it was pretty scary. It was a big one," Murphy said. Ranger Hal Dairywimple said the quake had a rolling sensation that startled some out-of-town guests. "I walked outside and we did have some guests outside, talking about the quake and in full panic," he said. "They said, 'I didn't know you had those here!'" The quake was felt as far west as Hawaii and as far south as Cabo, 1000 miles southwest of San Onofre.

Well, just like I said Yesterday, 15-25 knot west wind was on it this morning along with heavy drizzle. The surf was small and bumpy, but that didn't stop the you-know-who's from going out. Even with the bad weather there was a long line at the gate today, and the speeders were at it again. Whats their hurry? The surf sucks and still they think they have to rush to find a spot to park (like their going to beat someone to a prime spot).
