Tony Valdez: Well, I don't have a question so much, as a reminder to these gentlemen. Um, you know, if you remember, we had a concept in this country which was, um, "Manifest Destiny". It was some sort of notion that the United States had the right to occupy, uh, land from the Altantic to the Pacific. Now, there's a group in Los Angeles that's called "Culture Clash", and they do some very interesting things. Satirically, satirically and with comedy, and one of the things they say is, "We didn't cross the border, the border crossed us." So, what I would suggest that these gentlemen, and everybody else who's watching, do is look at your own history, 1846, and see how the United States of America invaded the country of Mexico, how the United States countries wanted to go into Texas, and bring slavery to Texas, and the Mexicans who would not tolerate slavery said go, get out.
John and Ken: Oh, and so people living today have to pay for the sins for a hundred-sixty years ago?
Tony Valdez: They should also think about California where the same sort of thing was happening.
John and Ken: They found a radical.
Tony Valdez: And here in California, there's a monument to the Mormon battalion, the great heroes who killed a lot of Mexicans...
John and Ken: There's a statute of limitations
Tony Valdez: ...so that this part of the world could be taken by force, by force by the United States. Today, the same government that runs this country strikes, tries to strike down countries like Iraq and Iran and so on, so forth who invade other countries, and yet this very same country, the United States took California, Texas, etc...
John and Ken: There's gotta' be a statute of limitations on old history. It can't affect out day to day lives.
Tony Valdez: It's very convenient for you to do that I say, with respect, but nevertheless...
John and Ken: Well, what do you want us to do?
Tony Valdez: Nevertheless, you took this country, you killed people in order to take this country for yourselves.
John and Ken: That's crazy, that's nuts.
John and Ken: That's the Aztlan point of view.
John and Ken: That's it, the report from Aztlan there.
Yes, the US took this land by force. Are you suggesting that Mexico is going to try to take it back by force? Give me a break.
Yes, the border crossed you. Maybe it wouldn't have if you hadn't been taking a siesta.
Mexicans warred upon each other, so did American Indians. Quit your whining.
Yes we know our history, and we think that it would be a good idea to have a live broadcast from the monument to the Morman Battalion to celebrate our victory and remember the heros who died in order that we now have this land.
Yes, we stop other countries from invading their neighbors. We do it for the right reasons. And we took this land for the right reasons from you stupid sleeping Mexicans.
I sent an email to the racist Valdez and channel 11. Still awaiting reply. I'll post the address tomorrow should anyone else wish to tell him / them what you think!
WHOA! The illegals are trying to say that the Americans come and took land that belonged to mexico, B.S.! When the Conquestadors came to the America's from Spain they had wars with the Native Anerican Indians because they wanted this country for Spain, so enough of this BS that this was their land! Why don't they go back and boycot Spain! Read your history books! (oh I forgot, they can't read, speak,or write English) And remember, possession is 9/10th of the law, but then they don't go by the law anyways!
I heard on John & Ken yesterday that a listener did get a response. They said Valdez will make an apology on his midday show this weekend. Not good enough for me. He is a racist and a threat to this country and nothing less then firing his ass should be done. That was not a slip of the tongue he had, that was pure hatred of America and Americans!

I sent it to the station, not Valdez.
Read the post, Idiot.

Fire him, strip him of his citizenship, tatoo his forehead and ship him back to mexico!
Do you know what an illegal alien is?
Living proof that the Indians were F---ing the Buffalo's!
What is really scary and infuriating is RACIST Valdez was born here! LA to be exact. Yet he still has some weird allegiance to mexico.
Maybe he and El Presidente' Fox own some drug stores down mexico way!
Valdez in spanish means "Bend Over", so if you turn the name Tony around, what you get is the words "ynot bendover", (as in, why not bend over)
