How much money did he owe when he died?????
Hang 10 is a winner, congratulations you are now the proud owner of a 2008 Cadillac Escalade.
Dunn, he didn't owe me squatt, as a matter of fact I owe him $10.00 for bailing me out of the Torrance jail. Does anyone remember people asking Deese where Dewey was and he replied, "Dewey's down at the 'chop chaping'"?
1. Howdy-Doodie
2. Bronco busting

He owed me $300 from the Venice days. Hell, I did wood work on the 46 Ford woodie, (Termite) So many times! Anyone do the oil derik behind the shop? We could go on forever with this stuf! I wonder if the hot shots today have the fun we had???
Hang '10', you're a real godamn walking surf museum. You're familiar with the old VJ shop on Pacific, well can you tell us the names of those kids behind the place, living on the beach, that swept balsa and foam shavings from the floor
Why is it that when I google-image Tubesteak, I get nothing but huge cocks?
Mr.Johnson, we're glad you mention that. Try TUBESTEAK'S DIARY at www.tubesteak.org/blog You can feast upon all videos available of the Tube, incidentaly, why would you wanna' GOOGLE Tubesteak in the first place?
NOBODY had as much fun as I did. Can you imagine the schittt I went through with all the older and much LARGER guys that I hung around with. Take the Haggerty's Surfing Club meetings, swats were given to guys who talked at the meetings during the meeting and interupting said meeting. You would bid for the opportunity to give the swat to the person. I was always provoked into talking and then getting caught. Man, did they make money off of me. Everyone wanted to swat Murphy! My butt was as red as a fire truck and was as hot from the sting, but man I still love those guys (even "hang ten") they looked out for me and would not let anyone outside our group mess with me! All I can say is, Thank You to them and I still think about them all living or passed.
Murphy
Hey bro, where 'da answers?
Wha 'da heck is Hang '10' doing in HAGGERTIES Club. He up here bragging about being in the MSA.
Murph, we sure hope you got over the RA's, btw, who were the larger guys that spanked you, and what was the name of the Haggerties Surf Club prez that hanged with the 'Shower Queen'?
Anon: I was at the shop doing repairs after school. The crew at the time was, Dewey, sometimes, Harold Ige (Iggy) Deese. Chuck Mead (Talunga) Mike Smiley. Steve Abru (Portagee) would be there too. That was it at the time. Haggerty's, never joined, was a solo guy. nver went for the club stuf. Murph knows. GM, And, Pam? We dated when I was 16 and she lived in Manhattan. Ahh yes the good old days. MSA? HUH? Never in that. I was in the retro Hope Ranch Surf Club till the coalition thru us out because we would not do clean up socialist crap! Murph, what was the swat crap? Never knew of that? I think I would of been out the door! Always a solo kind of guy. I rode for Hap after all the Dewey stuff with Velzy and Hap went to Hermosa on Ardmore then on PCH, that's 442! Too funny.
Gov Mule, you must be thinking of Dick M. from Lomita. He was Haggerty's first Pres. And you mean guys like, moss, boyer, walty, griffin, doyle, souther, fleener, anderson and so many more. And some did belong to another club such as the Dapper Dans! I know I did, but then the Dapper Dans never competed with any other clubs, only within its self.
Murph, this is The Mule speaking. M'dn was the guy, alright. Maybe Griffen was an unknown factor. Messrschmidt Mike, I thought was Westchester. If you ever see Hang '10' explain to him MSA indicates Malibu Surfing Association. Mr.Abru, '10' is the only one that remembers that guy. As you know, he "ran" the Velzy shop pn San Clemente shop a number of years back. You guys should wriite a book on surfing for prosperities sake.
Mr. Mule, Griffin did the art work for the first sweat shirts the club had and also he designed the patch for our jackets. We did the silk screening of the sweat shirts at Dick M.'s house in Lomita in his front yard because his mom would not let the whole club in the house. I still have my sweat shirt and believe its the only one left in exsistence, plus I have my jacket patch and original membership card.
Mule: I see Abruu in Waikiki on ocasion. Doyle as in Danny may be what Murph is talking about? He can say on that one? I don't think Mike was in the club, again, Murph? Any other useless info to be disscused here?? LOL
Hey Murph, That's Lomas, right?
Ok Heres some more fun. I'm 13 years old, Dewey is parked in the Wilkinsons driveway at 22. Dave Wilkinson is pissed big time. Dewey is asleep in the back of the 41 Ford coupe. Hung over big time. he yells at me to move the car? Oh boy, cool, I get to drive Deweys car? It has a cluth that engages at the full out position. Great! I don't know this? I fire it up and road hump backwords out of the deiveway with Dewey yelling at me to not do that! Too much fun.
Yes that is Danny I'm talking about, Mike was in Wind-n-sea surf club. And yes, it is Lomas.
ARRGGHHH!!! LOL
"I still have my sweat shirt . . . my jacket patch and original membership card."
