  1. Lunada Bay! Been there done that! One of the Manhaten Beach guys that was real good in the late 50'S and early 60'S kid was one of the bad boys! I knew you wanted to know all of this. My brother and Bob Hogan almost got killed there in the early 50'S. Hell, looks like a harbor entrance to me?

  2. BTDT,heck, now that is irony for sure. Hogan was on the same comber that broke, sweeping Nick Gabaldon into eternity at Malibu, oh, way back in
'51. 'Ten', what harbor entrance does it look like,
Ala Moana or what. Now you didn't knowe that did you. Here's another thing you didn't know, Hogan lives in SJC, San Onofre's sister city. Whatever happened to a older fellow called Tuthill?

  3. The Dominator Capt thought it was LA in da fog? Thought Hogan was on the big island? Tuthill? I think warm water and snowboarding in the winter? The Bu when it gets good?

  10. You guys sound like a bunch of bootlickers. Long live The Hawk. What is taking so long for the Fact Police to point out his name was Dru. As in Druisson. Any questions Tube? Tuthill is an auto mechanic in Modesto, Ca. re-living American Graffiti.

  11. Dru worked for Western Airlines on the ramp in the 80'S then went to the Big island. Tuthill and Pfhaler were Haps first reps at the Surf-O-Rama at Samo Civic in 59. I know Tube was there and can tell all. This was way before the surf team deal! Used cars? Balsa boards?

  12. 'Torrance Beach', what are you talking about. '59, criminey, that was half century ago. Ex-member of Jacob's Surf Team, here's my arm, gimme' a break. Wake up, smell the chorizo. It's over boys, it ain't coming back. If you're Over 40, take up bocci ball. You didn't make at 19, you aren't going to make now.

  14. 'Murfie the Surfie', was Critters the spot in Hermosa/Manhattan that had the rotating bar. You know where is was I'm sure.

  15. Umm... i don't know. If it's north end Hermosa I went there. All guys wore baseball hats, 60% on backwards. Hammered dames sloshed out of the bar screaming, "Dan, Dan!". I'll be back.

  16. Is this the AARP blog or a surfing blog?

A bunch of old men with Alzheimers wading through their clouded brains for some cognative recall of past events that may or may not have occured.

  17. 'Children...Future', maybe we have wonderful memories of our youth, something we have let slip away. There's a difference between Alltimers and Allzheimers. Us old guys rule.

  19. Holy cow how did that tuthill guy get back into this? Is there nothing he hasn't done. Next he'll be telling us he taught God how to walk-on-water!

  20. Moses, a West Coast Blog is not a blog if Tuthill's not in it.

  21. I don't think this tuthill lives on the west coast. He sounds more like a hick to me. Must be a friend of murphy.
