Media reports of Tubesteak's demise are in error. The confusion is based upon the death of Oscar G. Mayer, retired chairman of the Madison-based meat processing company that bears his name. He was the third Oscar Mayer in the family that founded Oscar Mayer Foods, which once was Madison's largest private employer. Similar confusion between Tubesteak and Oscar Mayer family members occurred in 1955 when Mayer's grandfather, Oscar F. Mayer, died, and again in 1965 when his father, Oscar G. Mayer Sr., died. Mayer retired as chairman of the board in 1977 at age 62 soon after the company recorded its first $1 billion year.
This is all well and fine, however, when do you do another Tribute #229, 300. We know you have the goods.

I elive there's a spot way up the coast opposite the Malibu Pier named Tube's Steak and Lobster House. Would it not be unreal if the place booked Sydney Carton Esq., Tubes, amd Murphy. It certainly would be billed as the Calvacade of Stars, don't you think. I do.
