pseudo-teacher attacked by small children

The plot unraveled over the weekend when a student tipped off police, Camber reported.
School officials said they never imagined that some of the 8- and 9-year-olds boys and girls at the school would think of bringing physical harm to a teacher, KSBR reported.
"A plan had been developed amongst several of our third-grade students to allegedly do harm to their teacher," said Theresa Martin, of Orange County Schools District. "It's shocking that they would think of this at their young age. I think that is probably the most shocking part for all of us," Martin said.
In addition to the knife being found, the school officials said other students had duct tape, handcuffs, ribbon and a heavy crystal paperweight relatives said each child at Malcom Elementary School in Laguna Niguel, had a job to do, including one assigned to wipe up the blood.

This is messed up!

(Newser) – Wal-Mart has dropped the price of a black Barbie doll in a move that's raising a ruckus. "Both are great dolls," carefully emphasized a Wal-Mart spokeswoman. But the price was cut $2 for a black Ballerina Teresa Barbie from the $5.93 for the white version because the black Barbies weren't selling. "Pricing like items differently is a part of inventory management in retailing," said the spokeswoman. But a Harlem activist warned that such a strategy in this case "can have collateral damage."
The "implication of lowering the price is that it's devaluing the black doll," said Thelma Dye, the executive director of the Northside Center for Child Development. Wal-Mart could have decided "that it's important we don't send a message that we value blackness less than whiteness," said Los Angeles sociology professor Lisa Wade. Ironically, Wade pointed out, the black dolls may not be selling as well because white parents are more reluctant than blacks to buy dolls of a different race for their children.

AMAZING SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES 1. AVOID CUTTING YOURSELF WHEN SLICING VEGETABLES BY GETTING SOMEONE ELSETO HOLD THE VEGETABLES WHILE YOU CHOP. 2. AVOID ARGUMENTS WITH THE FEMALES ABOUT LIFTING THE TOILET SEAT BY USINGTHE SINK. 3. FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE SUFFERERS ~ SIMPLY CUT YOURSELF AND BLEED FOR AFEW MINUTES, THUS REDUCING THE PRESSURE ON YOUR VEINS. REMEMBER TO USE ATIMER. 4. A MOUSE TRAP PLACED ON TOP OF YOUR ALARM CLOCK WILL PREVENT YOU FROMROLLING OVER AND GOING BACK TO SLEEP AFTER YOU HIT THE SNOOZE BUTTON. 5. IF YOU HAVE A BAD COUGH, TAKE A LARGE DOSE OF LAXATIVES. THEN YOU'LLBE AFRAID TO COUGH. 6. YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'TMOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40...IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THEDUCT TAPE. 7. IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. DAILY THOUGHT: SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES - NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING, BUT THEYBRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS. _________________________________________________________________
