From The Mayors Office

Well the south wind was on it right off the bat this morning, but while sitting at the gate this morning you could see the fire burning on the Marine Base. It seems lately that no matter how bad the surf is the Talegalites go out in mass numbers. Ranger P. was parked next to me this morning when a speeder came flying down the road, she took off after him Red lights flashing, this guy was moving. A few minutes later she came back and said the guy was a Investigator for the Sheriffs Department, now he should know better, there is no need to speed and surely not when the surf sucks. Hope to hear from Puttzle soon the beach is awfully quiet with out him. More later-----maybe

I was there when the "investigator" went flying by, kicking up dust and gravel all the way toward Dog Patch. That had to be the most glaring exhibition of speed I've ever seen in the twenty odd days I've been down here. Hey! What's up with this ten dollar fee I have to pay each time I drive by the gate. You'd think they'd give a local from Talega a break.

I was talking with my neighbor Stu about getting a pass. He's convinced that it's included in our Mellow Ruth fees.
