NEW TOLL ROAD PLAN FOR 241 SOUTH
SAN ONOFRE, Calif. -- Citing the fact that nearly no serious accidents occur in bumper-tobumper traffic, the TCA is adopting a plan to cover Orange County with 10-lane highways that have one-lane bridges and overpasses in each direction every few miles.
"By forcing five lanes of high-speed traffic onto a onelane bridge each way, we will even slash the number of fender benders," boasts a TCA. planner. "And I guarantee no traffic fatalities -- it's difficult to be killed in a car traveling an average of 5 m.p.h.
"In some places, the backups will have backups, creating perfect 100 percent safety for Orange County drivers. Hey, we're saving lives here!"
