The surf for this years San Onofre Surfing Club Contest was epic. It was the best surf in 10 years.

They went all out for the Club Contest this year with a new judges stand which folds out from the Clubs Clothes and nick-nack trailor.

Well, at least it was good to see the Mayor out in the water again! The sandbar lefts were really going off!

What's going on up at the point? This was this morning's dawn patrol. I sure hope the Mayor can regain control of his section of beach before it's too late!

These are what the Trophy's look like for this weekends San Onofre surfing contest donated by A.Seemore.

Jerry K. arrives in his new Ford Van at the Point yesterday.

PAGING EARL SCHEIB!!!

I got stuck behind this guy at the gate this morning! Not only was thing a tad rusty, but he paid Don with a sock full of pennies.

Ah ha! This is the guy who was driving the rust bucket. Perhaps he can get some dental tips from BK.

We finally got the State Park Service to lower the speed limit at San Onofre.

This weekend is the 53rd annual San Onofre Surfing Club contest. What could possibly go wrong? Well, nothing other then the invasion of the deadly man-eating Galapagos Jelly fish! This juvenile one seen here just off Old mans was being tracked by a scientist from Scripps when he was abruptly swallowed whole. Although the sting is quite painfull and usually fatal, that would be the least of your worries! Remember the movie "The Blob"? These things just eat and grow!

The Security forces at the Nuclear Power Plant at San Onofre has put up new signs around the plant adjacent to the State Park.

This Airplane landed at San Onofre on the SandBar at the Point. The Pilot said he thought he saw the Mayor out and became so excited he put the plane on the beach before he knew what happened.( It turned out to be a false sighting).

The true meaning of the name "Miniature Golf"!

To make sure that the bathrooms don't run out of TP as they did last weekend, the State Parks service has added a few more rolls in each bathroom.

That's Murphy with the yellow hat. He was playing the back nine at the new Talega Pines golf course yesterday when one of his threesome let loose a fart to the same frequency as the mating call of the California Grizzly Bear. Not to worry, though, as they did make it to the Talega Pines Country Club clubhouse safely. His golf clubs were not so lucky.

He did get a brand new set of Big Berthas, though!

At last, someone has come up with a vehicle that runs on methane. You can run all day on 2 Taco Bell burritos, or 6 brussel sprouts.

With the cost of diesel fuel rising, people are look for alternatives such as vegetable oils. Saflower oil seen here for $1.19, and Corn oil seen here for $1.15, and the diesel is now used for other things.

These are the average gas prices in San Clemente. Sorry, Murphy, but the bottom price is diesel! Prices are expected to double by the end of the week.

For Diesel fuel they want an eye!
