This system origanated in the gulf of alaska. The jet stream took a southerly dip at a 170mph.It is vortexing in a counter clockwise moition over central southern california. there is a lot of very cold air associated with this system, that would explain the large hail that we recieved today. We can expect more of the same this evening.
