The New Vblog Studio

Tubesteak's Vblog LLC. is currently moving into these new digs. Befitting the man himself, this new hi-tech facility will provide the entire universe with unlimited entertainment and will be broadcast in 12 different languages. Mr. Steak tearfully thanked the members of the SOSC BOD for their generous support but noted he still hates that dirty, dusty road.

Thank you so much, Fats. I must, however, ask a question. Are you actually
Skipper Fats, and I know you know what I'm saying. Then, remember Buddy Dodds. He, too, was one of the great ones. Your Vblog board reminds me of 'Close Encounters'.

Fats, put on your Lone Ranger Mask, and ride on over to Steak Studios for a Vblog surf interview.

Gabby, have him bring Tonto, or if Tonto's not available, Corky Carroll.

How much is rent for a studio like that one there.

not to worry, the board picked up the tab for the entire $2.5 million as a tribute gesture to the Steak. The Vblog sounds fantastic in SurroundSound, picking up all the gutteral sounds that have made this legend so famous. The sweet melody of him hocking up a big one are unforgettable.

Methinks, hocking a lougie is mistaken for a death rattle.

to start Steak Studios off on the right track, I believe that a live broadcast farting contest would be in order. What say you?

How about Harry James to Ziggy Elman, Benny Carter to Johnny Hodges, J Teagarden to Kai Winding,Gene Krupa To Shelly Manne,Fats Waller to Erroll Garner,Woody Herman to Benny Goodman etc. That's your Western Jazz. Now dig this more intellectual Eastern Jazz, personified by Dizzy, Howard McGhee,Buck Clayton, Chico Alvarez,Earl Payton, etc.,on the trumpets; Lester Young,Coleman Hawkins,Dexter Gordon,Illinois Jacquet,Vido Musso, Wardell Gray,on the tenor saxophones;Charlie Parker,Willie Smith,King Perry,Boots Mussulli, etc.,we could dig up some wild, mad Calypso drummers;Guitar leader is Barney Kessel next comes Al Harris;Lionel Hampton on the vibes;Eddie Stravinski on the bass;Stan Wrightman on the Piano and for arranger Cammeron. Can you dig it?

I can dig it. Wow, hipster, you've gone from big band to Lighthouse All Stars. Impressive. I know you remember Johnny Hodge's 'Night Train'. Did Vido not play sax?

Hmmm, Mick Corsair they were asking if Shelly Mann was listed, why was Shorty Rodgers omitted?

Mick Corsair said...

This brief resume of players has left out accidentally such talented men as: Charlie Shavers on trumpet, Harry Carney on sax, Irvin Vernet on trombone,Pee Wee Russell on clarinet, Sid Catlett, T. Otis, Nick Fatool, etc., on drums.
