You may have read in the paper about that boat that sank off San Clemente spilling 1200 gallons of diesel. Red tide and diesel don't mix well creating sort of an under water hydrocloric acid cloud that feeds upon itself. Billions of dead fish have now been washing up at San Onofre with the water expected to be contaminated for up to 2 months.
