Many, many years ago when I was around 6 or 7 years old my friend Johnny and I were playing around in the old outhouses at San Onofre. For reasons best known to seven year olds we started rooting in a metal box in one of the outhouses and found some super white bandages with blood already on them, just perfect for using as bandages in a game of war. Shortly after we were spotted by our mothers who were absolutely horrified to find us playing with and wearing used sanitary towels!

The event is real. The only fiction is that it happened at San Onofre. It actually happened nearby, but not at the beach.
