NOT AFFLIATED WITH THE SAN ONOFRE SURF/SURFING CLUB
Surfing is a wonderful mystery. Life is an uncany mystery. Death is a quick cut to black. Lottery winners become demigods Each moment is a click in your life, unsteady or not. We live as frogs live, always grasping for straws. We stumble, we fall, but we rise to continue. Life is an obsticle, however, we meed fluctuation.
Seemingly, there's much hatred in surfing. Why? I don't know why. Greed, animosity, envy, uncertainity, dismility, dissaey, maybe all.
Anon#2: Your right! I surf the outer islands. It has gotten worse of late. The funny thing about it, is that the worst I have seen is the Huntington Beach crew at the pier. The guys in their mid 50'S are jerks pure and simple. I can get along just fine at a place like Malibu when it's on, no matter how many. But, HB, forget it! Too many people and not enough waves is how it boil's down. That wave pool looks real good. I could do that all day long!
'Right Slides Canoe', there's nothing wrong with guys approaching their sunset years, they're sorta like cling wraps. They'll never go away as they have no where to go. They gather amongst themselves to talk story about their time in the mid fifties. They should be pitied rather tan scorned. Good luck.
