Giant swells 18' in height have closed the structure. Get this, SOSC BOD approved flying Greg Noll and his 18' gun da'Bull is 74 years of age and will paddle out the Dana channel. He said thanks for the the big surf alert. San Clemente is engulfed in churning foam.
Murphy, if you are still there, it's good news. Surfer Mag has published their gteatest 50 surfers of all time. You ain't on it, but neither is Corky Carroll, Dewey Weber, Morey, Kemp Aaberg, or Munoz. Good news, next is 10 greatest beach characters of all time. You'll make that easy.
Returned from SANO. Doesn't get muh better then this. 4/6' hot and glassy, minimal crowd, cosistant sets some overhead. Water 72o and great visibility for scuba.
Criminie sakes, Lordy. It's 1600 PDT, it has doubled in size. Lifeguards have shut 'er down. Dirt road washed out due to huge breakers. You can neither git in nor git out.
The Magazine is doing a follow up on '50 Greatest Surfers of All Time'. I saw the nominations from San Onofre State Beach for 'Greatest Beach Bums of All Times'. The 3 nominees are, Terry Beard, Jeff Luton, and Leonard.
There won't not be a line at San Onofre today, Monday. Drive right in but with caution because the Rangers removed all the logs for the duration of Summer.
