Tuesday, May 23. 2006. Mayor Murphy, of San Clemente Ca. , landed the hammer head Tuesday, after fighting it for nearly six hours. About a 200 pound Murphyfish, very rare, hell of a fight. I released him.

It is illegal to catch a Murphyfish during spawning season. You can tell be the 1000's of eggs on the belly.
